7A.1 Product ads and AI personas

ClipTaps lets you make videos in which an AI-generated persona presents a product, service or brand ("product ads"). An AI persona is not a real person and has not used the product. You must not present a persona, or any video made with ClipTaps, as a real human, a real customer, or a human expert (for example a doctor, lawyer or financial adviser) giving advice.

7A.2 You are the advertiser

For every product ad you make or publish with ClipTaps, you are the advertiser and are solely responsible for it, including its claims, offers, prices, links and disclosures. You must be authorised to advertise the product. Every claim in your brief and in the finished video must be true, not misleading, and backed by evidence you hold before the video is published. You must disclose any material connection to the brand (for example that you own it, are paid by it, or earn a commission). ClipTaps' guardrails, checklists and warnings are aids; they do not review your ad for legal compliance and do not move that responsibility to us.

7A.3 Prohibited advertising

You must not use ClipTaps to advertise or promote goods or services that are illegal to sell or advertise in any market where the video is shown, including:

• counterfeit, replica or trademark-infringing goods;
• illegal weapons, and illegal or controlled drugs;
• prescription-only medicines without the authorisation required to advertise them;
• gambling, lending, investment or other financial promotions without the licence or approval required in the target market;
• tools or services for hacking, fraud or other dishonest behaviour.

Some other categories are restricted or prohibited by the platforms you publish to, even where they are lawful (for example weight-loss, health and medical products, supplements, financial services, alcohol, gambling, dating, tobacco and vapes, political content and adult products). When you choose one of these categories ClipTaps shows the platforms' rules and asks you to acknowledge them before you continue; for categories that are illegal to advertise in many markets you must also confirm that the product is lawful to advertise in your target markets. Your acknowledgments are recorded and kept. An acknowledgment does not make a prohibited ad permitted, and you remain bound by this clause and by each platform's policies.

7A.4 No fake or incentivised testimonials

You must not use ClipTaps to create or publish fake reviews or testimonials, including reviews attributed to people who do not exist or did not use the product, reviews written by you, your staff, agents or relatives without disclosing that relationship, or reviews that were bought or rewarded on condition of their sentiment. You must not present an AI persona's script as a customer's experience, or imply that results shown are typical when they are not.

7A.5 Voiced customer reviews

If you add real customer reviews for an AI persona to read, you confirm for each review that it is genuine and quoted exactly as written; that you have the reviewer's permission to use their name, or that it is anonymised; that the reviewer is not your employee, agent or relative; that the review was not bought or incentivised on its sentiment; and that the terms of the site it came from allow you to use it in advertising. ClipTaps voices the review verbatim, labels it as a real review read by AI, and does not rewrite it. You must stop using a review that its author has edited or removed, and keep the evidence (such as the screenshot) you uploaded.

7A.6 Disclosure

ClipTaps applies disclosures to AI-generated videos and product ads: the platform AI-content labels, the platform commercial or paid-partnership labels, the caption disclosure (such as "Ad" or "#ad", the AI line and any affiliate line) and the persona's spoken introduction as an AI host. These are always applied, and you must not remove, hide, suppress, edit out or contradict them, whether in ClipTaps, after download, or on the platform. You may switch off the labels burned into the video picture (the on-screen AI label and the Ad/Sponsored tag) where ClipTaps offers that option; if you do, you confirm that you will still disclose AI use and the commercial nature of the video wherever the law or the platform requires it. You must comply with the advertising and disclosure rules that apply to you, including the U.S. FTC Endorsement Guides and Rule on Consumer Reviews and Testimonials, the UK CAP Code and ASA rulings, EU consumer law and the transparency obligations of the EU AI Act, and each platform's branded-content and AI-content policies.

7A.7 Provenance marks

Videos made with ClipTaps carry machine-readable marks that identify them as AI-generated or AI-edited, such as C2PA Content Credentials attached by ClipTaps and watermarks such as Google SynthID embedded by the underlying AI models. You must not remove, strip, alter, disable, obscure or forge these marks, or use any tool or process whose purpose is to do so, including re-encoding or editing a video in order to remove them.

7A.8 Real footage you upload

If you upload your own video clips or photos (for example a product demo), you confirm that you filmed them or hold the rights to use them in advertising; that they show the product as it is actually sold; that every identifiable person shown has consented to appearing in an ad; and that any music, logos or other third-party material in them is licensed for that use. ClipTaps uses uploaded footage without generative alteration and records it as non-AI material in the video's provenance data.

7A.9 Platform consequences are yours

Platforms may remove, restrict, demonetise or refuse to recommend content, and may issue strikes, suspend features (such as e-commerce or branded-content tools) or ban accounts. ClipTaps does not control those decisions. Warnings shown in ClipTaps about platform rules are provided as a courtesy, may be incomplete or out of date, and do not guarantee any outcome. Any consequence on your platform accounts from content you publish is your responsibility.

7A.10 Our right to refuse or disable

We may, at our discretion and without prior notice, refuse to generate, publish or schedule a product ad; remove or disable content; disable a ClipTaps short link (including links reported by viewers through the "Report this link" option); withdraw access to the product-ad or AI-persona features; or suspend or terminate your account, where we reasonably believe content breaches these Terms, the law or a platform's policies, or has been reported. We keep records of your attestations, acknowledgments and disclosure settings, and may provide them to platforms or authorities where the law requires.
